IMPORTANT NOTE :
Firmware is normally supplied in two different styles: The ALL file will just upgrade the firmware, whereas the RST file will upgrade the firmware and wipe all settings back to factory defaults.
A note on modem codes
Other modems codes are available, some are newer and others older than the 'BT' 8D1B17 modem code. The digits indicate the version number, with a higher number being a later revision. Each digit is HEX so 'F' is the highest digit. Older modem codes can be considered more conservative, and might not include support for supplementary DSL standards or may have parameter options disabled. New modems codes incorporate improvements and support for later standards and may have options enabled.
