Using a Portable Wireless IP Phone with 2865ax Router was created by Ewan
Hi,
I am considering switching to full fibre broadband.
This means my analogue phone line will be disconnected and my telephone calls routed over the internet via VoIP.
I do not wish to use the broadband providers router but instead keep my 2865ax.
As the 2685ax has no RJ11 VoIP input, I was thinking of purchasing a Portable Wireless IP Phone.
Has anyone successfully done this?
I understand that you need a SiP account. Do the broadband providers give you the SiP account details in lieu of not using your old analogue DECT phone via their router?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Kind regards,
Ewan...
