Does anyone have any idea of how long it takes in real terms for a failover from ADSL to the 3G backup modem?

Also, is there a way to configure the amount of time before the failover can occur, for example, if my ADSL dropped out intermittently, could I stop the 3G taking over until the DSL has been down for say 15 minutes?
