use 2nd 2820 instead of Vigor 120 for PPPoA/PPPoE bridge? was created by mikeysoft
I own 2 x Vigor 2820 and have two ADSL connections (as of Monday when 2nd one gets fitted). I want to use both ADSL connections in the 1st 2820, but ideally don't want the expense of buying a Vigor 120 (as WAN2 ADSL modem), especially when I already have a 2nd 2820 with an ADSL modem built-in!
I'm wondering if I can use the 2nd 2820 to connect the 2nd ADSL line to the 1st 2820 instead of using a Vigor 120, i.e. use the 2820 as a PPPoA to PPPoE bridge - exactly what the Vigor 120 does.
I've noticed under WAN -> Internet Access -> WAN1 -> "PPPoE Pass-through"
Is this what I'm thinking it is? Barking up wrong tree? (which LAN port would the PPPoE come out of from the 2nd 2820?!)
I can't try yet as the 2nd phone line isn't installed yet.
Thanks
