2927AC Sending SMS was created by craig_s
Like others I've found in the histroy of the board I've had difficulty in configuring SMS sending with various providers. I've adopted a different approach and am now using a TELTONIKA device to send SMS for admin purposes and HotSpot sign-on.
I've successfully got the SMS object to send a test message to either 07123123456 or 00447123123456, but in the Hotspot portal I've not found any combination 07, 00447, or just 7 works. Sticking a + in the string will upset stuff later down the line!
What is the hotspot portal doing that the test function isn't?
Has anyone found a way to set no country code so I can direct a user to input the number in a format that works?
Thanks in anticipation!
[EDIT - POSTED FOR OTHERS]
It seems the Hotspot adds only the country code. Adding 00 ahead of the ### tag fixed the portal, but broke the test function.
