Inter Vlan routing and blocking was created by DiskMan
Hi, I recently set up inter vlan routing between two subnets so that I can allow one computer access to the other network, but only for the one device. In the past I've then been able to set up a data filter blocking access to the entire subnet, then another filter allowing it access to the one device.
For some reason, I've set this up and it doesn't work, the computer has access to the entire network.
Basically, inter vlan routing is set up between subnet 1 and 2, so let's call it 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1
So lets say I want 192.168.1.10 to access 192.168.2.20 and only that one device. I've set up a data filter to allow this and another to block anything from subnet 1 into 2. But from subnet 1 I'm still able to ping into network 2 when I shouldn't.
Am I making sense? Thanks.

Here's the guide I used......
https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/guides/kb-inter-lan-routing
It does not work, all from lan 1 can talk to all in lan 2, which this rule is supposed to stop.
Any ideas please?

Hi DiskMan,
Which model router do you have, and what firmware version is it currently running?

Any reason you’re running such an old firmware? If not, then I’d try updating to the current 3.9.9.12 version of the firmware and try the firewall rules again.
I have a 2862ac running many rules and all without issue. I’m sure there’ll be a solution to your problem, but I would try updating the FW first.

I can't see the firmware being an issue.
