	        Hi,
I have a 2820vsn with firmware 3.3.5.2_232201
I have an L3 switch with multiple subnets/vlans setup. I have static routes setup in the vigor to enable internet access to those subnets.
However, if I setup a client on one of these subnets with a static IP address, and the vigor as the DNS server, it does not resolve names correctly. I can ping/browse ip addresses on the internet (ie. google.co.uk) but not by name. If I set the client's dns server IP to the ones allocated by my ISP (or something like 4.2.2.2) it works as you would expect.
Also, if a static client is setup in the same subnet as the router (ie. 192.168.0.1/24), I can quite happily set its dns svr to be the vigor router.
This makes it look as though the vigor router will not act as dns proxy on anything other than its own subnet.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
thanks
