Vigor 2862 - Web interface failure - But still running fine! was created by HodgesanDY
Hi,
Any other 2862 users encountered this issue (titled above) in recent months, since a certain firmware update; I can't say exactly which one to be fair? Current F/W is 3.9.9.12
The router only seems to be accessible for about an hour, since last boot (probably less to be honest), then all access to it becomes impossible?
The error reported when using a FireFox web browser is:
"Error code: PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR", which points to an SSL/TLS issue, plus a few other possibilites. Although nothing has really changed other than firmware.
A reboot is the only method that seems to recover the web management access.
(http :80 is disabled, so only https access is available)
SSH-ing into the router works without issue, so it's only the https hosted part that's failing.
It's an odd one, and I know this router is near EOL now, or rather EOcritical updates, so due an upgrade... ...maybe DrayTek are factoring in early obsolescence ?
