AP905 video buffering was created by Ewan
Hi,
I have an AP905 in access point mode connected via ethernet to a Vigor 2865ax router.
When connected wirelessly to the 2865, video streaming is fine but when connected to the 905, videos tends to buffer.
This is most noticeable when using apps like Facebook for example.
I have googled the issue and tried a few tweaks with the AP905 but the issue still exists.
Anyone else experienced this and if so if there a fix?
Kind regards,
Ewan...

I have a similar issue. I have one AP905 access point wired to a 2866Vac router and a second AP905 in another room with an Nvidia Shield video streaming box, and nothing else, wired to it. The Shield sometimes buffers when watching Youtube videos (I don't use it for anything else). It never did this when I was using two Asus routers or two Netgear routers to make the wireless bridge. When I connect a PC to the remote AP905 and do a speed test (www.speedtest.net) it measures 63Mbps down and 17Mbps up, which is as good as my Internet connection ever gets because I'm on VDSL. The AP905s are on a 5GHz wireless channel which no other devices use (or perhaps I should say that when I have occasionally checked I have never seen any of my neighbours' devices on that radio channel). I'm using firmware v5.1.0 (2026-02-09).

Did you get a resolution to this? I assume you're using the latest firmware; have you spoken to Draytek support?
I'm looking to replace my AP906's with AP905's to try and create stability as well as have things working that *should* work on the AP906s but don't.

Hi,
No still not resolved.
I've tried the advice from researching online.
Will try Draytek support next but if I can't get this resolved, then I will return my AP905 and perhaps go back to Netgear APs.
